This is a very comfortable and spacious true log cabin with the quaintness and feel of the country - Large upstairs loft, fireplace, wood floors, cathedral ceilings. It is secluded and surrounded by trees, yet close to all the major area attractions! The cabin includes linens/towels and most everything you will need in the kitchen to cook a meal. All you need to bring is your groceries and personal items. It is located within a holistic and restorative retreat center. Let go, unwind, heal.

This like new, custom log cabin nestled in a 30 acre sanctuary surrounded by national forest, features a spacious and private upstairs loft, downstairs bedroom, and great room with cathedral ceilings, stone fireplace, picture window, French doors, wood floors, spacious bathrooms, ceiling fans and appliances. Outside has covered porches, deck, barbecue grill and fire pit, picnic table, outdoor chairs, and paved road to driveway.

Sanctuary amenities include outdoor labyrinth, tennis court, covered group eating area, picnic area and fire pits, volleyball, gated security and peaceful, private relaxation spots. Guests may enjoy a Reiki energy session, sauna or food detox, to restore balance, harmony and well being to the body, mind and spirit. Additional fee and scheduling required.

Other activities available in the area are: Whitewater rafting, Boating, fishing, kayaking, mountain biking, hikes and tours of the area, including The Smoky Mountains National Park, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Cherohala Skyway, the Tail of the Dragon and Fontana Dam.

This is an incredibly beautiful area, very pristine and full of adventure for the nature lover, car and motorcycle riders and adventure seekers.

The natural beauty of the Smoky Mountains and the Nantahala National Forests is what made me fall in love, not to mention, the many lakes, rivers and waterfalls. There are hiking trails everywhere, including the famous Appalachian Trail, 20 Mile Ranger Station, Fontana Dam, Joyce Kilmer Memoria Forest and Slick Rock, just to mention a few. Also, the Tail of the Dragon is just minutes away!

Hello I am Liz. I live in the great Smoky Mountains National Park area at The Heart Center. I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, swimming, waterskiing, tennis and working outdoors on the land.

In my spare time, I love to travel, take photographs or read books, meditate, hike, and swim in the beautiful lakes in my area. My favorite places to travel to so far are all natural parks, Spain, London, Sedona, Arizona, India, Mexico, and South America.

I am very blessed to have a beautiful family and, in the last two years, a perfect and wonderful grandson, Thomas Dante, whom I am enjoying thoroughly!

I am a socio/cultural anthropologist by education and I love the concept of learning about people from a holistic perspective. My life's passion is in serving and empowering people to live a more peaceful, loving, joyful, and healthy life through teaching them about letting go of the past; practicing meditation to embrace the present moment; holistic living; restorative, intuitive energy work to come into alignment, balance and harmony; and, the inter-connectedness of all things. I am a Reiki master and have training in Non-Dual Kabbalistic Healing, which uses the ancient teachings of the Kabbalah to restore balance and harmony. I teach various modalities of meditation and contemplation. I also founded a not for profit camp for abused, neglected and disadvantaged children. We have been doing the free camp for 10 years now.

I love children, people, animals and nature. I look forward to a day when we all truly recognize our "Oneness", living in love, peace and harmony.

I have a beautiful dog named Wayah, which means wolf in Cherokee. She is half wolf and half German Sheppard. She has such a great personality that all my guests love her and want to take her home with them. Not happening!

I once took a silent retreat and the motto was "May all beings be happy." I like that! Therefore, the Heart Center, the 30 acre retreat surrounded by National Forest, is dedicated to giving our guests a comfortable, peaceful, restorative and joyful experience!

I am a Reiki master and assist in energy restoration, chakra balancing and healing, as well as, meditation and self exploration techniques. Guests are welcome to join me in a fire ceremony from India, to help heal the planet, meditation practice/discussion, or receive an energy healing on a love offering basis.

I like to interact with all my guests and make them feel at home, however, I am also mindful of their privacy, quiet, and relaxation time.
