Learn what it takes to be a Pizzaiolo
We're back! It was a long two years. All that's needed now are your hands, your passion, and a little guidance from us and you'll be making and eating exceptional pizza. First I’ll show you how to make dough … and eat a little pizza. I'll teach you about the importance of time and temperature, about different yeasts and how to make poolish. Oh... it's recess... gotta eat some pizza. Next we'll practice what is probably the hardest yet funnest part of all.... opening up a Neapolitan pizza ball. You'll learn to massage the dough, so the air moves outward toward the edge - otherwise known as the cornicione. Now, take a moment , have some pizza. You deserve it. Then you'll learn to dress the pizza and then then launch it into the wood-fired oven. There's no turning back now. In 90 seconds your pizza will be finished. We'll practice this over and over using the same techniques I learned from a world champion. This will be the best class ever because you get to eat your homework!

Pottery in the Mission
We will start with some of the interesting history of the studio space. Then I will get you situated on the wheel and show you how to properly secure your lump of clay. After the clay is secured we start the wheel spinning nice and fast. I will show you how to center the clay which is a very important (and frustrating) stage of making pottery on the wheel. After we successfully center the clay, you will explore how the clay moves and reacts to your touch. We will work to form a simple shape such as a bowl or cup. To finish off we will do some clean up of the form and remove the piece from the wheel in order to start experimenting with the next piece. You can expect to get to practice with around 6 lumps of clay (more if you are ambitious) and most people will create 2-3 pieces by the end of the session.
Pieces will be professionally finished, fired, and glazed after the experience. This process takes at least 3 weeks. After the pieces are finished you can pickup in the studio or they can be shipped. Shipping costs are paid by the guest.
Other things to note
Come wearing clothes that you don't mind getting messy. We will provide aprons. If you have long hair plan to have a hair tie or a way to secure your hair back. Trim long nails if you are able.

Learn how to cook & throw the Ultimate Dumpling Dinner Party
Join a hands-on cooking class and dinner party, where you'll learn how to make mouthwatering dumplings from scratch! You'll discover the secrets of how to create bouncy, delicious dumpling wrappers, build flavorful sauces, and master the art of folding beautiful dumpling pleats.
It's perfect for a unique date night, family cooking activity, team building event, or even solo -- suitable for all kitchen skill levels, from new to seasoned chefs!
We'll start with a tasting of my favorite soy sauces to deeply understand umami. Then we'll make dumplings from scratch: kneading dough, rolling out dumpling skins, and learning the art of pleating. We'll use a family recipe for a mouthwatering pork stuffing (for non-pork eaters, tofu-based options are available with 48h notice).
Once you've created your batch of dumplings, we'll sit at the dining table to create your very own secret dipping sauce, using flavor fundamentals. We'll also eat a slow-cooked pork belly braise: a classic Shanghaineese dish that highlights the umami of soy sauce and principles of slow cooking using local, organic pork. We finish with a red bean dessert -- you'll be in a food coma at the end of the experience! Recipe guides are provided after dinner.
Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or expanding your cooking skills, the Dumpling Dinner Party is a must-try experience in San Francisco!

Kombucha Brewing Workshop
Are you a fan of kombucha? Learning to brew it yourself is easy, fun and super cost effective!
The 2,000 year old tradition has a rich history of health benefits like improving digestion, boosting energy and helping your immune system. The probiotic nature of kombucha means it is full of beneficial bacteria that are good for your gut, body and mind.

All attendees will receive a Kombucha Starter Kit including: a brewing vessel, SCOBY, starter liquid, cloth cover, and illustrated instructions.
During the workshop attendees will make their first batch of kombucha. I will cover the history of kombucha, health benefits and how to do it at home safely. You will learn everything you need to know to make kombucha successfully at home. You'll also get to sample various flavors of homemade kombucha.
