I want to give you my favorite places to go to eat, but it's also clear to me that everyone has different tastes and budgets so you have to remember my recommendations are personal. Nonetheless for me there are two ingredients to an excellent restaurant experience. First and foremost is the food - good quality, tasty and hopefully something I could not easily do myself. The latter criterion gets trumped sometimes by just wanting to eat out and be served. Second criterion, and almost as important is the atmosphere - fun, creative, hospitable and great friendly service. The people make the place (host, servers, bartenders, buspeople, etc.) but the atmosphere should be great as well. These things are what I look for to go back time and time again.
