Time to explore Savannah! Wear walking shoes. Consider breakfast picnic at Forsyth Park. If it is Saturday, don’t miss The Farmer’s Market! From Forsyth Park, continue walk along Bull street. Enjoy squares. Compare Chippewa Square to filmed scenes of Forest Gump. Continue walk till you make it to Broughton Street. Enjoy unique local shop stores like House of Strut, The Paris Market, Savannah Bee Company, and Nourish. City Market is just around the corner. Consider stopping by “Lady & Son’s” restaurant. Recommend you make reservation if you want to eat there. From City Market, step into River Street and enjoy what the bay has to offer. If you finish walking Savannah early, consider taking a car lift back to house and then head to “Wormsloe Historic Site”, a scenic park avenue of oak trees with Spanish Moss and a museum. After visiting the Wormsloe, consider dinner at “Pearl's Saltwater Grille” with river view and some of best hush puppies of the area. The Ghost City Tour “Dead of Night” gives a balanced experience into Savannah history, haunted places, and paranormal events. This walking tour also invites you to see the charm of Savannah at night, when houses, cemeteries, city and parks light up their candles. I recommend 9 pm tour. Another great place to get Leopold’s is at Savannah International Airport since line is shorter. Looking for a beach day? My favorite beach destination is Hunting Island State Park. Very scenic light house, soft sand, beach with plenty of vegetation and birds to watch. You can find shadow next to palm trees or dead trees next to the beach. Dead trees make beach a movie and photograph scene. On your way back home, consider stopping at “Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park” for ice cream or dinner at “Saltus River Grill”. Views of water, park and marina are great. You will also find unique old houses nearby like “Lewis Reeve Sams House” and “The Castle”. If you only want to drive less than 30 min to beach, “Tybee North beach” by lighthouse is a nice destination. Recommend dinner at “Sundae Cafe” on Tybee (requires reservation).
