Taughannock Falls plunges 215 feet past rocky cliffs that tower nearly 400 feet above the gorge. Gorge and rim trails offer spectacular views from above the falls and from below at the end of the gorge trail. Campsites and cabins overlook Cayuga Lake, with marina, boat launch and beach nearby. A multi-use trail--hiking, cross-country skiing--winds past sledding slopes and natural skating ponds. (located in Trumansburg)

Since 1973, the Ithaca Farmers Market has been attracting thousands to explore over 160 vendors selling local produce, crafts, and baked goods. On Saturdays and Sundays from April through December, the market is located in a beautiful park pavilion overlooking Cayuga Lake. The market continues throughout the winter months, just on a smaller scale.

It was long known around the world as the home of the Formula One United States Grand Prix, which it hosted for twenty consecutive years (1961–1980). Still, the site has also been home to road racing of nearly every class, including the World Sportscar Championship, Trans-Am, Can-Am, NASCAR Cup Series, the International Motor Sports Association and the IndyCar Series. The facility is currently owned by NASCAR.
