Pollok House is the ancestral home of the Maxwell and Jardine families, located in Pollok Country Park. It houses a private collection of Spanish paintings, including works by El Greco, Francisco Goya and Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. There are also paintings by William Blake, as well as glass, silverware, porcelain and antique furniture. Pollok House is owned by the National Trust and there is an admission fee for non-members. Completed in 1888 and overlooking George Square, Glasgow City Chambers is one of the city’s most prestigious buildings.
Open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. This grand edifice is a symbol of Glasgow’s historic wealth and has, for more than a century, been the headquarters of successive councils serving the City of Glasgow. Tours of the City Chambers are available and are conducted twice daily at 10.30am and 2.30pm.

82 George SquareCompleted in 1888 and overlooking George Square, Glasgow City Chambers is one of the city’s most prestigious buildings.
Open Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. This grand edifice is a symbol of Glasgow’s historic wealth and has, for more than a century, been the headquarters of successive councils serving the City of Glasgow. Tours of the City Chambers are available and are conducted twice daily at 10.30am and 2.30pm.

Pollok Country Park is a country park located in the southside of Glasgow close to the Shawlands area. It has previously been acclaimed as the best park in Britain and in 2008 it was named the Best Park in Europe. Pollok Country Park is famous for its Highland Cattle fold and its Clydesdale Heavy Horses. It also contains the National Trust owned Pollok House and the Burrell Collection (which will close in October 2016 for extensive refurbishment).

The old tennis pavilion now houses the acclaimed Dandelion Cafe, which provides excellent lunches and homemade baking.
