Kapiolani Beach park is a 5 minute walk from our condo. It is a great place to get away from the bustle of waikiki and get views of diamond head.
Waikiki beach is 3 blocks from our condo. It is the birthplace of surfing where you can do surf lessons, snorkel, swim, and lounge one the beach!

Diamond head is the volcano (not active) at the backdrop of Waikiki. There are many things you can do around it. It is about a 15-25 minute walk from our condo. There is the diamond head hike that is good for all levels of hiking although note that it does get pretty crowded and it can also be really hot between 10am-3pm. Recommend early morning for sunrise. If you want to get away from the busier beaches of Waikiki, Diamond head beach is a very peaceful place to post up for the day. There is an intermediate surfing spot and some snorkeling, but please note that you need to be aware of ocean conditions as it can get very dangerous if you go out when the swell is big. It is recommended to go in the morning or around 4pm-sunset as mid day it can get very windy.

Ala Moana Beach is a nice beach that is about a 40 minute walk or you can take public transport to quite easily. Much less crowded than Waikiki. Magic Island is a nice park right by the beach as well to hang out at. At sunset this is a place where many families and people come to hang out and do many activities.

Get a little more local and visit the Kaimuki neighborhood which has some amazing little local restaurants. Only a 10 minute drive or close to public transport from the condo!

Chinatown/downtown neighborhood is a historic part of Honolulu. Known for its history, restaurants, and art, it is definitely a great place to visit if you are looking to get away from the beaches and see more of what the city of Honolulu has to offer.

Known as the arts district of Kakaako, this neighborhood is up and coming with many coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and art all throughout the neighborhood. Due to the event Pow Wow that happens every years, there is well over 70+ murals on the sides of buildings all throughout.

Really good locally caught fish market. Reasonably priced with plates anywhere from $15-25. Lots of food with each order. Restaurants in Waikiki can get pretty crowded. There can be a line during dinner to order at the counter, but it goes quite quickly.

Dukes is a great oceanfront restaurant that we highly recommend. The wait times can be a bit long though so we recommend getting your name in earlier or going for lunch or early dinner.

This cafe is great for lunch or dinner. It is minutes walk from the condo and feels a little less touristy of waikiki. The views are amazing although the food isnʻt anything to write home about. The views are amazing although the food isnʻt anything to write home about. We do still love to get lunch, smoothies, coffee, or dinner still though because you cant beat the view. Reasonably priced.
Tikis is a great place for dinner and drinks. They are famous for their Tiki cocktails and if you get there for lunch, late afternooon, it is easy to get the view that overlooks the ocean. They also have live music every night I believe.

Right out front of our condo there is a food cart pod with a nice little coffee shop for an easy breakfast. Great outdoor seating and cant beat the convenience of it being right out front!

Shopping
If youʻre into shopping and malls, Ala Moana is one of the best open aired malls to visit. Iʻm not one for malls, but I have to say this is probably the best one Iʻve ever been too.

Our neighborhood in Waikiki is very walkable and its recommended that you do the same. Street parking is tough to come by. We do have an off street parking spot and also have a car available for rent if interested. If our car is not rented though we would need to keep our vehicle parked in the spot.
