My Favorite places to eat in Whistler
Upscale seafood with an intimate vibe. About 3 km south of the village, this restaurant is a perennial favorite as much for its cozy, unpretentious dining room as for its great seafood. If deciding on only one item is hard, why not go for one of the samplers: the Rimrock Trio combines sea bass in an almond-ginger crust, grilled prawns, and rare ahi tuna marinated in soy sauce, sake, and mirin. Although seafood takes precedence on the menu—try the raw oysters with champagne—Alberta beef and local game will satisfy carnivores. 1) THE WHISTLER TRAIN WRECK is one of the most easy Whistler hikes. Located in the Whistler interpretive forest this hike is popular among locals. The Train Wreck Trail includes graffiti-covered train cars and fantastic views of the Cheakamus River. It’s an easy, mostly flat trail and is often used by mountain bikers as well. This is a great option for families looking to hike near Whistler!

Train Wreck

Starting from the trailhead for Rainbow Hike on Alta Lake Road, hike uphill taking the first fork off the main trail to the right towards the falls. If you reach the water treatment plant, you have gone a little too far

At 70 metres tall Brandywine Falls is a magnificent view to witness. The stunning views, the challenging but achievable trek, and the serenity of sitting beside Garibaldi Lake just bring so many beautiful moments together during this one-day adventure. This hike is considered intermediate, with an elevation change of 820 metres and covering 18 kilometres round-trip. Some BC Parks, including Garibaldi Provincial Park and Joffre Lakes Park, require Day-Use passes due to high visitor volumes

With over 1400 metres of elevation change and some scrambling at the peak, this is a challenging hike but a rewarding one! You’ll see this recognizable peak from all around this area, standing high over the lakes and valleys below. For those who live for adventure, Black Tusk is definitely one of the best Whistler hikes!

Daisy Lake Road10) BLACK TUSK is an epic Whistler hike that’s definitely for the more advanced hikers out there. With over 1400 metres of elevation change and some scrambling at the peak, this is a challenging hike but a rewarding one! You’ll see this recognizable peak from all around this area, standing high over the lakes and valleys below. For those who live for adventure, Black Tusk is definitely one of the best Whistler hikes!
