Historic Southport, NC is rich in history and sits nestled next to the sea. From the downtown waterfront , there are wonderful views of the Oak Island lighthouse and Bald Head Island. Southport is a short ferry ride to Carolina Beach and the Fort Fisher Aquarium. You can even drive your car onto the ferry for a fun adventure! Built in 1904, this historic site is open for visitors on Wednesday and Saturdays from April to October as well as Fridays June - August.
