The Lake House is situated in suburban Solihull, within walking distance of pubs, a range of restaurants and cafes, as well as the train station to take you to Solihull, Birmingham, & Stratford Upon Avon. We’re about a 15 minute drive from the NEC, Resorts World and Birmingham Airport too, making it a perfect location if you’re visiting for gigs, shows, shopping or need a stopover before a flight. We’re on hand if you need anything as the Lake House is a self contained annexe next to our home.

Our little guest house is perfect for a couple wishing to explore the local area. 5 minutes from Solihull, 10 minutes from the NEC and airport 15 minutes to Birmingham City Centre 20 minutes to Warwickshire 50 minutes to the Cotswolds There is a private entrance via a shared garden, a small kitchen and living room. A cosy bedroom with king-size bed and bathroom. There is also a sofa-bed suitable for little ones in the living room. Guests can use the courtyard to the side of the apartment.

The cottage was a stable back in the day when the house was named Horsley Cottage in the 1800's. The homestay includes a log burner, underfloor heating, microwave, slow cooker, coffee machine & bathroom. There is a dining table which could be used as a workspace, lounge & first floor bedroom. The Annexe is a newly renovated, self contained suite. Attached to our house but with its’ own entrance the space has 2 comfortable bedrooms with space to work or study (with wifi). There is a newly fitted bathroom along with a well equipped kitchen and relaxing sitting room. We live on site and so can be on hand to offer advice if desired. 5 minutes walk to the University main gate. We are a 25 minute walk to the QE hospital and Edgbaston cricket ground and well served for taxis.
