This is a rare opportunity to stay in a traditional Miller's House located on the same property as an authentic 1632 Dutch Windmill. This beautiful cabin offers privacy, nature and canals on both sides, yet is only 1.5 miles (2.4km) from town and a 40 minute train ride to Amsterdam. This cabin was hand built with love & care and it is a pleasure to share it with guests from all around the world. Please read the advertisement carefully before booking. I would love to make you welcome in our wonderful home in Hoogedijk. Our home is a completely renovated dike house from 1889, and your room has beautiful views of the Gouwzee and in the evening, you can see the lights of Monnickendam. After a good night's rest, you will enjoy your own wonderful waterfront terrace. Your apartment has its own entrance and is on the second floor of our beautiful house. Be aware that there is NO kitchen.

Cosy and quiet 3 story-house in the heart of the beautiful and historical centrum of Hoorn. Walking distance to musea, restaurants and shopping streets. Very complete, including 2 complimentary bicycles and a Chromecast for rainy days. The house has 3 floors, whereby WC is on the ground floor, the kitchen/living room/douche are on the first floor and the bedrooms are on the second. Interesting for you to know is that we blok 2-3 weeks every year in order to do maintenance on the house.

COTTAGE NEAR THE WATER

You will find the cottage on a little island called De Woude. It is a true paradise for birdwatchers, hikers and fishermen but if you want visit Alkmaar, Zaanse schans, Amsterdam ore you want to go to the beach you will be there in ca. 35 minutes by car. With a ferry you get to the island. The ferry goes back and forth all day until 23:00. Cars are allowed. their is a private parking place near the cottage.
