This one-room rustic cabin sits on 27 acres, perfect for a gadget-free weekend of star gazing and bird watching. The Cabin is a cozy getaway located on a 4.5 acre lot in a quiet neighborhood. It's only 10 minutes away from the Baton Rouge Airport and Walmart. Downtown Baton Rouge and LSU are about 20 minutes away so if you’re planing to watch a game or enjoy the city it is a little bit of a drive. There's also a simple walking trail that goes to an over view of the Comite River. It takes 5 or 10 minutes to walk and can be challenging for small children but will be enjoyable for out door lovers.

Thunder Ridge —Entire House pet-friendly near NOLA

Thunder Ridge at the Forest Retreat is an adults-only pet-friendly getaway. Children may come only during specific holidays. Your house will be unlocked. Check-in is a 3 p.m. Here you are surrounded by the Homochitto National Forest. Take a picnic to the sand-bars along the pristine spring-fed creek. Hike or mountain bike on the remote forest roads. Yellow Bayou Plantation is a real working farm that sits on over 100 acres along the historic Yellow Bayou. The guesthouse is located behind the main house. It has an open floor plan, a full kitchen and an antique claw foot tub. There are horses, chickens, cows & honey bees located on the property as well as a stocked fishing pond and a swimming pool. You may see a combine harvesting a crop off in the distance or beekeeping activity. Come fall in love with this rural farming area.

The first floor has a large living/dining area with a sofa, dining table, modern, fully furnished kitchen and full bathroom. There’s a double size air mattress available upstairs. The downstairs contains a bedroom with queen sized bed and full bathroom. The cabin is 8 miles north of downtown St. Francisville and close to shopping, hiking and dining.

Cajun Acres Log Cabin

Our cozy cabin sits in the heart of Cajun country, about 30 minutes outside of Lafayette. It's a great place to spend time relaxing in the quiet serenity of South Louisiana, or enjoy spending a night or more traveling through, it is located just 8 miles north of Interstate 10. We do not allow pets. The Cabin is all wood inside and has the great cabin smell the minute you open the door. It was built in 2014 by Amish builders in Pennsylvania and transported down by a truck.
