You can access the two bridges over to the Cal Poly Humboldt campus a few blocks away and just beyond campus is the Arcata Community Forest with towering redwoods. Downtown Arcata is just a seven minute walk down the hill where you will find more restaurants and unique shops on the plaza.

Welcome to The Wind and Tide where forest meets sea. Our newly remodeled home is situated on three acres of forested cliffside overlooking the Pacific, just north of the seaside village of Trinidad. Tranquility awaits as you take a dip in the hot tub and relax by the fire pit, soaking up the sounds of sea lions, the views of migrating whales, and sunsets and stargazing galore. Tide-pooling, agate hunting, and exploring Sue-Meg State Park is just a short drive down the road.

Our restored, historic cottage is at the center of our vibrant community. Just two blocks from the Plaza and in close walking distance (5 minutes or less) to the best farmers' market, grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, a creperie, an excellent independent movie theater, an art store, record and book stores, and within a 10-15 minute walk to Redwood Park and the Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary.
