It retains many original features such as the original old natural slated roof, old beams, pine boarded floors, exposed original stone walls etc. etc.. Originally, it was the stable where the horses were sheltered and fed for the winter months while the wheat, feed oats etc was stored on the loft overhead.

Old Schoolhouse (1896), Ballyhack Village

Built in 1896, when the Irish regained their rights to their culture, religion and education. St. Louis nuns would come from Ramsgrange (3.5km) by horse & cart. Teachers, boys, and girls had their own entrances and toilets. Boys were upstairs and girls downstairs. Later it was mixed (according to those in the village who went to school there) The floor upstairs is original. Be sure to look at the great old photos of the Schoolhouse & Ballyhack on the walls of the pub.

A cozy renovated 200 year old cottage. Situated down a country lane. You will need a car. Suitable for two adults and one small to medium size dog. There is a 25 euro fee for the dog whether you stay for one day or more. Beaches, walks and Waterford city are a 10/15 min drive. The cottage is annexed to the main house. It includes a bedroom, WC with shower, kitchen and breakfast room. The breakfast room looks out onto your own private garden.
