VG was our Dad, and this was his home. Dad loved to have visitors and there was always someone calling in and staying overnight. It was hard to keep up sometimes. He was a people person and committed a great portion of his life serving the people of Queensland but most particularly the people of Western Qld. We knew that Dad's home would be the perfect place for visitors to rest for a while and plan their next adventure. We hope you enjoy our little slice of paradise in the Longreach Region.

This is the perfect small space for 2 where you can enjoy garden views from airconditioned comfort or sit outside to enjoy the peace. Experience a spectacular sunrise & early birdsong as you walk the Botanical Way towards the Stockmans Hall of Fame & Qantas Founders Museum. The parkland right outside is the perfect spot to practice yoga or Pilates & if cooking is not your thing, head into town for a choice of dine in or take it away to enjoy in front of the telly! It's your private retreat!

Wellshot Cottage-Royston Station

Enjoy this romantic spot surrounded by Outback nature. If you love nature, photography, farm life, animals, birdwatching, stargazing, artesian water soaks, walking, relaxing, rugged landscapes, stunning skies and sunsets, then Wellshot might be the place for you. It fronts our baby lake which is complete with jetty a great spot for morning coffee or afternoon drinks. Roses on Bluebird

Located near the hospital and high school. Enjoy a lovely stay in this newly renovated cottage which combines both modern style with an old school charm. Whether you are enjoying the glorious sunsets from the front porch or relaxing after a long day of sight seeing, this has it all. The cottage can sleep six comfortably with new queen beds and a fold out lounge, as well as new split systems throughout the property to satisfy on those hot days. Col’s Cottage

Butler Cottage-Royston Station

Royston Station is a place to connect with nature and with yourself. Rest, relax. Let your responsibilities fly to the wide open spaces. Swim, stargaze, walk, birdwatch, photograph, take in the incredible sunsets. The cottage, fronts our baby lake, and is complete with jetty and much bird life. Starlight’s Hideout

The perfect oasis of luxury. Take a break and relax with everything you could need taken care of. Fully equipped kitchen, master retreat with dual showers, deluxe bath, 98” TV, cinematic sofa. Washing machine and dryer on -site. Extensive off street parking perfect for a caravan. Expansive fully fenced yard with manicured lawn and gardens. Conveniently located to the racecourse, Qantas museum, Stockman’s Hall of Fame, Longreach airport and all tours. 2km to CBD.

Evanston Station Outback Experience (Queen Room)

We are a fully operational sheep station offering rustic yet very comfortable shearing quarters accommodation to suit singles, couples or families. We do not have disable access facilities at this stage. Individual private bathrooms (not en-suited), kitchen and laundry at the quarters. Each room has its own air-conditioning. Authentic, traditional shearing quarters within walking distance to homestead and private airstrip. Continental breakfast is included.

The Haven. For availability please message.

The Haven is centrally located to the main street, schools, thermal pool and local sightseeing attractions. Our home is equiped to provide you with everything you need to stay away from home. The Haven sleeps 4 people, in a queen bed and a sofa bed. We happily prepare one bed for two guests. If you need two separate beds ( queen + sofa), please book for three guests so we can provide extra linen and cleaning service. Thanks for understanding!

Sunrise Cottage

Unplug and unwind with nature. The Sunrise Cottage is your own little hideway, it's peaceful, has the comfiest king beds you will find and full kitchen for self catering. Sit on your private deck and look out at the open spaces, night sky or catch the first glimpse of the sunrise. Cook up a storm on your BBQ or sit around your camp fire and roast some marshmallows.
