Sink into a modern designer chair next to an ancient stone wall in a room filled with vibrant artwork. Old and new live in harmony in this refurbished apartment in a historic building. Catch a view of the lake from the balcony with morning coffee. An ideal mature base for independent travellers in an excellent location. Argegno is almost the beating heart of Lake Como, despite being a small village. When we arrive, we fling all the windows open and listen to the tune of Italian life. The noise of the traffic is ever present in the daytime, and we embrace the symphony! No need for music here..... Village life in Argegno surrounds a Piazza, which is 1 minute from the apartment, where you can eat fine food, drink some of the best wines, beers and spirits that money can buy, all while people watching. Every budget is catered for and everyone is welcomed! For a more lazy day, why not visit the Lido, which is a minute from the apartment. Or take a boat cruise around the lake from Argegno port, which is also 1 minute from the apartment. Argegno is situated twenty minutes from Como by boat or about 30 minutes by car. Como is a beautiful small town famous for its markets, pedestrian alleys, boutiques and restaurants, one can count on excellent Italian cuisine here. The surrounding nature in the area of Lake Como is breath taking, offering great places to hike or bike. For those who want to venture into the bustle of the big city, Milan is less than an hour away. And for those looking for adventure further afield great ski resorts are within an hour or so drive. Or venture to the glamorous St Mortiz, which is two and a half hours away by car. All in all our place is a perfect and affordable getaway from which one can make endless colourful discoveries. We love the sharing economy and are happy to share our apartment with like minded people. Our only request is you look after our baby! However, we are in constant communication and if you need us we are available at the other end of The line. The apartment is in the little village of Argegno. World-class dining, as well as pizzas and burgers with an Italian twist, are close by. The area is surrounded by scenic nature for walks and cycling, and the ferry port is a gentle 2-minute stroll away. Public transport is extremely convenient here. A bus stop in the centre of the village will take you to Como from where you can get everywhere quickly. A ferry port also wizzed you to como in 20 minutes, or to any one of the fabulous destinations on the lake. The storage areas on the ground floor belong to our neighbour, so please be respectful of their stuff.

Just 200 meters from the ferry stop with direct connections to Bellagio, Varenna, Villa Carlotta and the medieval walled city of Como. An easy walk to both Villa Balbianello and Villa Balbiano. Unwind with friends over an aperitivo in the elegant living room, featuring original 1920s stucco ceilings, as curtains drift in the lake breeze. Pure Como living.

From here you can easily reach by car or public transport all best spots on Como lake. Ideal starting point for road or mountain bike tours.
