This rustic 2-story cottage, dating back over 100 years, has whitewashed stone walls and a wood-burning stove. This is an old farm hand house and it shares the same property with the main house. Gashes Fluss Haus is a 117 year old coach house. The first floor is made of stone. Please park along side the house, under the flower box. If there's anything you need, please message me. Surrounded by nature, the home is a short drive to downtown, West Asheville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Getting downtown is a 7 minute drive. Uber is around 9 dollars. The cottage is on the same property as the hosts house.

The Cottage is perfectly located! Only 3.8mi center of Asheville, 2.5mi to the Blue Ridge Pkwy, 4mi to Biltmore Estate, and 5mi to the River Arts District! Escape it all or go to town for dinner, before retreating back home to your oasis! I have kept a simple clutter-free layout to promote comfort and coziness, with a touch of local art, filled with natural light and the sounds of local birds. The cottage is for anyone seeking privacy, nature, and easy access to all that Asheville has to offer!

The property borders the Blue Ridge Parkway with access to the Mountains-to-Sea Trail, yet only a short ride to downtown, groceries and more. A spring-fed pond sits on the 4.8 acre property and empties into a creek which provides an idyllic nature setting. We are located in the residential neighborhood of Oakley in East Asheville, with easy access by car to Biltmore Estate entrance, Downtown Asheville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, all 10 minutes away. You will be in a private suite on the first floor of our home with your own entrance, bathroom, and mini fridge. While our neighborhood fared well in Helene, there are some areas in Asheville that are still rebuilding along the French Broad and Swannanoa River. We greatly appreciate your visits!

Your private suite has: ) a private bedroom /a queen-sized bed; ) a private bath /a walk-in-shower; ) a kitchenette with a Keurig Coffee maker, a microwave, a small sink plus an under-the-counter refrigerator with a separate freezer; ) a locked private entry into a multi-purpose room that has a loveseat, TV, a drop-leaf table with 2 chairs. The suite has a new independent "HVAC air & vent system", totally separate from our HVAC system, so our Guests have complete temperature control.

We are located near I-40 with an approximate 10 minute/3 mile drive to the Biltmore Estate main entrance or the Blue Ridge Parkway (2.7 miles) and about 13 minute drive to downtown Asheville. Please be aware you will need to climb one flight of stairs to access the unit.

Scandinavian inspired, this cabin was designed and built by the hosts using site-harvested lumber and custom hand-crafted wood and metalwork features. The cabin lays on a south-facing mountain covered in rhododendron forest with the view and sounds of the creek below.
