Get away from the crowds and back to basics in this SIMPLE and COZY, OFF-GRID mountain hut–style dry cabin with stunning views. Tucked beside our off-grid home, this is a peaceful nature escape with limited power, no running water, and an outhouse. Heated by wood stove and supplied with seasonal water, it’s best for guests who enjoy simple living and an unplugged experience. The solar system is small and it is not possible to plug in your vehicle. In winter, our steep driveway requires 4x4.

Shoal Bay sits on a remote island, completely off grid. Here we generate our own electrical power through a system of solars panels and micro-hydro. Just one of three boutique styled cottages at Shoal Bay, The RAVEN COTTAGE sits on the hillside overlooking the water. There are 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen and a cozy woodstove. We are busy so often don’t see guests but nearby if you need :) Just 7 minute drive to Invermere!

Facilities include outhouse, outdoor shower with instant hot water, outdoor kitchen with camp stove, BBQ & cooler, bring ice. Sauna is available for use (bring bathrobe). Cottage is completely private & separate from main house. Breakfast included M-F. Weekend breakfast, vegetarian dinner, & massage are available upon request, before arrival, at extra cost.

Enjoy all the comforts of modern living in the Hatch Hut! A unique A-Frame cabin nestled in the wooded corner of a 160 acre parcel of grassland! Spend the days exploring the surrounding woods, roasting hot dogs in the fire pit area, or heading over to nearby Snipe Lake for some ice fishing (a 10 minute drive away). Propane heat, indoor plumbing, Wifi, Roku TV and a cozy queen sized memory foam mattress ensure that comfort is no issue out here in its private, tranquil location.

The property is lakefront and guests have access to a small non motor lake where they can paddle, float and swim. The property is 20 minutes from Sun Peaks, surrounded by hiking trails, lakes, golf courses and lots of outdoor activities.
