The cottage is in a superb setting on a south facing hillside with panoramic views across miles of fine Yorkshire countryside. It is approximately two miles from the centre of vibrant Hebden Bridge where there is an excellent range of independent shops, restaurants, coffee bars, art décor cinema, theatre and markets. The cottage has been recently refurbished retaining many original features but with all the modern comforts inc a fully fitted kitchen, underfloor heating and a wood burning stove.

We are approximately 15 /20 mins walk to Hebden Bridge to the local co-op supermarket or there is a Lidl & Morrisons in the opposite direct towards Todmorden about 10 mins drive away.

We converted the Old Piggery over 20 years ago, and have recently done a full refurbishment. It now has a cosy snug with a sofa as well as a lounge with far-reaching views. There is an ensuite bathroom and downstairs, a shower and toilet. The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor with a king-sized, chunky farmhouse bed with an extremely comfortable mattress. The lounge area has a Laura Ashley sofa and snuggle chair positioned to take in a far-reaching views or a 43 inch TV if you prefer!

The Chicken Shed at Knowle Top was newly built in 2019 on the ruins of an old barn and decorated to the highest standards of industrial chic. Our little cottage is the perfect base for visits to the local tourist attractions, such as Hebden Bridge, Haworth (home of the Bronte's), York and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, to name but a few. And if you're into walking and taking in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, then look no further, you could start with the Calderdale Way or the stunning North Yorkshire National Park which is only an hours drive away.

If you love walking / mountain biking again this is the place with many walks and trails on your door step . We can now accommodate 3 people at the cottage, we have a double bed and sofa bed .
