This self-catering farm house is peaceful and you surrounded by mountains and the well known Umzimkulu River. So much to do for the whole family. Amazing trout fishing, tubing down the river, birdwatching, long walks and so much more. Just a friendly reminder its a farm, and when it rains the roads are a bit messy. please be aware of that🙏

Valley Lakes THE LODGE-8 sleeper

Efficiently designed 8 sleeper lakeside lodge with generous volumes. Downstairs: Open plan living area with closed combustion fireplace and smart TV. A well equipped contemporary kitchen with gas top stove, electric oven and dishwasher. 2 x twin/double bedrooms share a full bathroom. Upstairs: A leisure lounge/studio with balconies overlooking the lake on one side and the mountains on the other. 2 x twin/double EN-SUITE bedrooms with mountain AND lake views enjoyed from Juliet balconies.

Two Springs Cottage

The cottage is in the garden next to our family home with a security fence, on a working sheep and cattle farm. The space is well decorated, spacious, neat and clean. It gets wonderful afternoon sun making it light and airy. The cottage has all the necessary amenities for a very comfortable stay. We are situated outside of Swartberg, halfway between Underberg and Kokstad. Located conveniently right off the R617 making it easily accessible with minimal gravel road. Rates are per person.

Penwarn Farm - Mthini Lodge

Mthini sleeps 8 adults and 3 children and is located 19km on the Bushmen's Nek Road, which is a gravel road, just outside of Underberg, South Africa. Mthini has four bedrooms which are divided into three King Bedrooms and one suite with two ¾ beds and day bed. All rooms have luxury en-suite bathrooms. There is also a full kitchen and a large open-plan living and dining area, with a fireplace, which opens to a patio with a firepit. Daily cleaning, linen and bath towels provided.

New England Cottage in the Drakensburg

This delightful pet friendly 3-bed cottage offers comfortable country living. Set in a peaceful and scenic area, the home combines rustic charm with practical living spaces, making it ideal as a holiday retreat. The cottage features 3 well-sized bedrooms, a welcoming living area, and a functional kitchen. Natural light flows through the home, enhancing its warm and inviting atmosphere. The layout is well suited to both permanent living and weekend getaways.

The Tin Shack

The Tin Shack is set on a small farm 11 kilometers outside the village of Underberg with spectacular views of the berg, offering rustic accommodation ideally suited for small families. A small two bedroom, one bathroom cottage with a deck overlooking the dam. We are fully equipped for self catering, with comfortable beds, kitchen, lounge and braai facilities, with a log fire, no TV, plenty of games and books it is the perfect place to recharge.

Great Dane @ Brittlewood

Escape and unwind at Brittlewood, a tranquil retreat nestled on six hectares. The property offers sweeping river views, abundant birdlife, and a tranquil 2km network of gently winding paths. These scenic trails link a selection of viewpoints, decks, and picnic spots, all leading down to the water’s edge. In addition, Brittlewood is perfectly positioned for exploring the Southern Drakensberg, with a wide range of local activities to enjoy nearby.

Lake Villa

A tranquil experience on our beautiful farm situated in the Southern Drakensberg, KZN. Tastefully decorated and includes a Deli (offers breakfast, lunch & dinner) situated in full view of a beautiful dam and hillside country. The Villa is not pet friendly. Farm activities: Hiking trails, picnics (on request), outside hot tub (book 1 day in advance), milking cows, star gazing, fishing, bird watching and horse riding (book 2 days in advance).

Stoneyhall Farm Bergview Cottage

& Castle Cottage as it has a beautiful views of Bamboo Mountain and Garden Castle! It is a big family unit on a working farm 17 km outside of Underberg. Enjoy spectacular mountain views and keep warm in front of the cosy fire place in the lounge on a crisp winter night. Stoneyhall Farm is completely off grid and work on solar power backed by a generator.

The Grange Cottage

The Grange Cottage situated on a working cattle and sheep farm. The 2 bedroom open plan cottage is stylfully decorated. Lovely open garden as well as braai area. Guests are welcome to explore the farm and join farm drives to experience farming activities first hand. Guests are also welcome to help themselves to the organic veggie garden.
