Visiting the city, hiking trails, waterfalls and the surrounding mountain communities means a lot for Western NC.

Shiloh Cottage

Slow down and experience country life on our little plot of land. The cottage is located on our 6 acre property with a tree-lined view with cows in the pasture from the front porch and a sweet view of the ducks in the pond and sheep grazing from the bedroom window. We have two Great Pyrenees dogs, a cat, and chickens. There might be occasional barking. If prolonged, we will bring them in. Fully stocked kitchen. There is always plenty of coffee, coffee creamer, and homemade scones for breakfast.

Inside, beautiful Parklin Interiors designer space, brand new kitchen, coffee bar, and more! Large loft with king bed with a view, and downstairs a second cozy Queen bedroom.

We are just 20 minutes away from Bryson City and the Nantahala Outdoor Center, 10 minutes from Tsali Recreation, 25 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park, Cherokee and The Blue Ridge Parkway. Where you can enjoy the water & Wildlife including River otters, Bald Eagles , Blue Herons, Variety of Ducks , Osprey Falcon, Fishing and much more! Cabin boast large deck with Screen Porch. At ground level is Large covered patio area with grill, hot tub, & easy path to Lakefront access. Cabin features inside an abundance of Ship lap and fine wood work, Master has custom 2 in 1 grotto shower . Upstairs master has commanding views.

Mountain Lake House [Kayaks & Paddleboards]

Welcome to PaddleFin! You will enjoy the beautiful lake and mountain views from the large deck on the house and a deck close to the water. This is a peaceful retreat - cell phone service is not available or very limited, no Wi-Fi, and no TV service. We allow A MAXIMUM of 4 guests! There is one king bed and one queen bed. We currently have two kayaks (one single and one two-person), two paddleboards, and a canoe available for use by our guests. Paddles and life jackets are included.

Our Snowbird Creek Cabin is cool and relaxing. It is just minutes from “Tail of the Dragon”. It is a fly fisherman’s paradise also. Hiking trails and waterfalls abound, or just kick back and relax in the pristine setting of the Snowbird Back Country. We will allow one dog 25 pounds or under to come. No exceptions for bigger dogs. I will request a picture of the dod. The dog will not be allowed on furniture. I live next door, so i will know if my rules are not obeyed.

The cabin is equipped with linens/towels and most everything you need to cook a meal., just bring groceries and personal items. This cabin is also handicap accessible. WIFI is now available. Cozy vintage cabin on beautiful Lake Santeetlah. Enjoy the water views from the screened in porch, dip your feet in the clear lake on the private dock, or take a kayak out to explore the coastline. In cooler weather, snuggle up by the fire with a good book. Lake Santeetlah is nestled in the mountains of NC, and 80% of the coastline is national forest.
