Nature cocoons you and you can reach out and touch the trees, see wildlife all around you amongst the pines. On the outskirts of Winton in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside in an AONB is our 2 bedroom/4 person total (including children) holiday cottage. This cottage is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Be in beautiful and peaceful surroundings, breath in the fresh air and come home to your own modern yet country-feeling cottage. Hot tub and seating area is at the back, and private entrance is all included. Please note there are quiet hours from 10pm to 8am. Hot tub can be used at anytime

WINDY HALL - Secluded luxury with stunning views

Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

La'l Riggs

La'l Riggs is a former outbuilding we converted in 2025. Surrounded by fields and fells, it's an ideal base for exploring the many beautiful locations within easy reach, including the North Pennines National Landscape, the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The Eden Valley is primarily walking country, and there's an excellent choice of routes in the area. The village is a 15 minute walk away, and has a bar/restaurant, two cafes and a chippy, as well as a shop for everyday groceries.

Pikelet sits beneath the pyramid of Dufton Pike in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Pennine Way (near Cross Fell and High Cup Nick) and the Cumbria Cycle Way. The property adjoins our 18th century home, formerly The Black Bull Inn, on the village green just a few doors down from The Stag. It's perfect for exploring the fells of the North Pennines, a country walk or ride, visiting the towns and villages of the Eden Valley or just taking time out surrounded by books and art.
