Our studio apartment is located minutes from Bennington College, and sits on 7 acres of land in the Grn. Mtn. National Forest. It's on the second floor of our home (above the garage) through a private entrance with a personal deck and outdoor seating. Take an afternoon stroll to the Mile Around Woods, or day hike to the white rocks! Walk the Ninja trail from the college to see the historic covered bridges, or drive 20-30 miles N to enjoy Vermont's best skiing, and shopping at designer outlets!

Our small above-garage guesthouse on the New York-Vermont border is a retreat from busy life. The open floor plan, airy apartment has windows on all sides & overlooks woods & meadow. The guesthouse is ideal for those looking to get away from electronics and the internet (note: no Wifi), and hike and bike the area’s trails, and/or paddle the Battenkill River and area lakes. Or just sit on the deck with a book and cup of tea or glass of wine. Pets are welcome (we do charge a small fee for pets)!

You'll enjoy a private 1 bedroom apartment including a full size bed in the bedroom, living room with pull-out sofa and smart TV, full kitchen, bathroom and bonus work space or dining room. Off street parking, free WiFi and breakfast included. My home is a quick 5 min walk to Emma Willard School, 1.5 miles to RPI, and 2 miles to Russell Sage College. The Smithy Cottage at Consider Bardwell Farm

The historic “Smithy" at Consider Bardwell Farm is the original building used for blacksmithing by Consider Bardwell, himself, in the 1800s. Complete with brand-new, architect-designed kitchen and bathroom, wood-burning fireplace, and stone patio for outdoor grilling and dining, the Smithy is beautiful inside and out. Enjoy meeting our goats and all the local goodies and products that we can stock in your cottage.
