'U Fùnnacu 1887

‘U Fùnnacu 1887, è un trilocale al primo piano di un antico casale di campagna del 1820. Un tempo era un fondaco, in siciliano “fùnnacu”, dall’arabo funduq (alloggio, riparo per i carrettieri), a sua volta derivante dal greco pàndokos: luogo che accoglie tutti. In effetti, questa era la funzione del fùnnacu: accogliere i viandanti, uomini, animali, carretti coi relativi carichi, che vi trovavano ristoro e riparo. Oggi è un’ampia oasi di serenità dove riposare dopo una splendida giornata al mare.
