This unique cosy cottage (c.1880) was originally the annex of a larger property and is now a family run holiday home in the heart of the Welsh Valleys. It is within walking distance of local shops, restaurants, Aberdare Park and Dare Valley Country Park. Rail/Bus station 15 min walk. By car attractions are easily accessible - Brecon Beacons, Pen y Fan, Zip World, Rock UK Climbing Centre, Bike Park Wales. Beautiful mountains, waterfalls, and country walks. Blue Flag Beaches a little further.

The property is an ideal base to explore and enjoy everything the region has to offer.

A 30min drive from the Brecon Beacons and an hour by train from central Cardiff. Surrounded by beautiful Welsh hills, with miles of walking and cycling trails, the area is steeped in history and mining and musical culture. Shepherd's Hut in Brecon Beacons

Escape to the Bannau Brychieniog / Brecon Beacons National Park and stay in our cosy shepherd's hut. The 'Bee Hive' hut is close to the village of Penderyn and next to Beili Helyg Farm. The hut has a double bed, kitchen & dining area with folding table, fridge & ice box, combi microwave oven, double induction hob and Belfast sink. There is a shower room with flushing toilet. Below the master bed is an alcove with a futon for a child to sleep comfortably. Decking, fire pit, BBQ, WiFi & TV.

Llia Cysglyd is a beautifully appointed self contained annex. With a truly panoramic view out over the Brecon Beacons mountain range the accommodation is central for the whole South Wales region and an ideal base for walking,cycling,golf and mountain climbing .The Gower is an easy drive as is Brecon ,Cardiff and the Bay.There are many local attractions including the waterfalls at Pontneddfechan,Big pit ,Dan yr Ogof caves,Caerphilly Castle, Castell Coch and Bike Parc Wales to name just a few.

Our cosy cottage on the edge of Blaengarw village, in a valley surrounded by mountains, and small lakes. Amazing walking country on the doorstep with dramatic views, and we are dog-friendly (but sorry, no cats). Real fire, Netflix, DVDs & books for huddled nights in. Great cycling with riverside rides and mountain trails. Shop, pub & takeaway in the village. Designer outlet, Odeon cinema, nature reserves and castles all a short drive. And we live round the corner for any advice or help!

Brynawel is a beautiful Victorian house next to Thomastown Park and has stunning views over the Merthyr valley. Brynawel is a very short walk to Merthyr Tydfil town centre, the train and bus station, but far enough away for you to have a peaceful retreat.

Bethel Nook, a cosy stay in the Welsh Valleys

Bethel Nook is self contained, part conversion of our Baptist Church home. It is on the ground floor with a double sofa bed and double bed up on the mezzanine. We are in a great location, easy access to Swansea Mumbles, Abergavveny, Cardiff, Brecon, Bike Park Wales, Zip World, The Big Pit, climbing centres, mountains, beaches and waterfalls. Our lovely village has all local amenities one would need including an award winning chip shop and a dessert parlour.
