Black Mountain Off Road Park and Tackett Creek are also about an hour away.

The Ambleside Cottage offers full privacy for a single or a couple looking for a serene getaway surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian mountains. This magical cabin is conveniently located for travelers, yet Ambleside feel like a remote retreat nestled in the woods above Elk Fork Creek. The Cottage is an adorable tiny house, offering 500 square feet of living space with a kitchenette, a sitting area, and a bathroom with a shower. The queen-size bed is upstairs in the sleeping loft.

You can ride straight from the house to the North Cumberland WMA Sundquist Unit Riding Area (2 minutes) and to Tackett Creek (little over 10 minutes). There is plenty of parking for everyone on the 4 acre property. This is 1 of 4 homes that are next to each other so we can accommodate all group sizes. The Happy Horse Farm Hotel is a beautiful newer construction home with lots of room and a great view of the adjoining horse farm on the back of the property. Deemed a Retirement home for Horses and cows, you can spend your evenings watching Ruby, Maddy, Star, Mountain girl and all the other wonderful animals we have roaming the 13 acres behind the house. Of course they are all friendly and appreciate any and all attention!

Aunt Hazel's at Walden Woods is a 1400+ sq foot cabin with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a cozy living room, and spacious kitchen. Guests will love sitting in rocking chairs on the balcony with breathtaking mountain views. Walden Woods adjoins the North Cumberland WMA, over 140,000 acres with endless miles of ATV trails. Our property also has two ponds great for fishing!
