"The Lair" Guesthouse

"The Lair" is a just recently renovated small 200 square foot cabin with vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural sunlight. The building is located close to Green Tree Coffee and Tea, a coffee roaster, so the aroma of coffee will be in the air. We located about 400 yards South of the Islesboro Ferry and Lincolnville Beach and 2.4 milres North of Camden Hills State Park and Mount Battie. Free coffee and tea everyday, all day! We are closed for Winter, will re-open Mid-April. Thank you.

Bas Harbor is a working harbor so there is always something to watch. Close to Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, Acadia NP. We have 5G Wifi. Your guest house is completely private with a private entrance.

Jack is also a licensed boat Captain through the U.S. Coast Guard and offers a discounted sail charter to our guests aboard our 36 ft. Catalina, Luna. Or hop on our lobster boat to watch the sunrise over Acadia!

Cook out on the grill, lounge on the deck or dock while taking in the wildlife on a beautiful tidal river. Watch nesting Bald Eagles and Great Blue Herons fishing! There is plenty of sight-seeing in this picturesque area. Rockland is just 10-minutes away where you can enjoy shopping, restaurants, museums, galleries, lighthouses and festivals.

Drop Anchor is a 2 bedroom spacious residential home on the “Quietside” of Mount Desert island. You will be 5 minutes from Acadia National park. Bass Harbor headlight, Ship Harbor, Wonderland, and Seawall picnic area. Bar harbor is a 20 minute drive. Nearby is Archies lobster pound, Hansen’s seaside takeout (both walkable) and by car Thurstons lobster pound. And Seafood ketch. There are many other options in the neighboring town of Southwest Harbor.
