The Country Cottage Peaceful Firepit

Welcome to The Country Cottage located in the rolling hills of central Ohio. This adorable cottage sits on 42 acres of farmland evoking a sense of piece and tranquility. We are conveniently located 2.8 miles from Gambier and Kenyon College, 2.7 miles from Mt. Vernon and the Nazarene University and 2.4 miles to The Kokosing Gap Trail. A stand alone cottage nestled among the trees with breathtaking country views. Locally owned with a personal interest in providing great service to our guests.

The Gambier House Carriage House Cottage

Charmingly unique, original 1845 carriage house on the grounds of the historic Gambier House–once again a private residence. Centrally located in the heart of the village and Gambier’s Kenyon College campus and steps from the coffeeshop, bookstore, village shops and restaurants. Newly renovated with a vintage/industrial vibe and everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Please know there are steep steps to upstairs bedrooms, with no elevator–or bellhop–so pack accordingly!

Bent Canoe Farm Guest House

This is a late 1800s farm house on my family farm. It has been fully remodeled and infrastructure updated but retains the simple architecture of the period farm house. Located one mile East of Gambier (Kenyon College), it's site overlooks the Kokosing River and is a short walk to the Kokosing Gap Bike Trail. Includes a fully furnished kitchen, three bedrooms and two baths. The wrap around porch overlooks the river and surrounding pasture. Enjoy the secluded, quiet, pastoral setting.

Historic Carriage House

Located in a historic district of Mount Vernon, the Carriage House has been renovated to infuse modern conveniences with historic charm. Just blocks from downtown, the Carriage House is 2 miles from Mt Vernon Nazarene University and 5.5 miles from Kenyon College. The Carriage House features a master suite in the loft, with a comfy queen size bed, and a separate sitting area with a 55" TV. The main level also has a youth suite in the transformed garage that kids and teens will love!

Thank you for viewing our comfortable home in Gambier Ohio! Our house is on a quiet street near the Kenyon Athletic Center, Pierce Hall and the Kokosing Gap Trail. We hope to provide you a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Please do not hesitate to message with questions. We have everything you should need at this rental: linens, towels, a well-stocked kitchen, an iron, and more! We are flexible about checking in and out. For more than 4 guests, additional charges are required.

We look forward to welcoming you to the secluded beauty of our space, designed and built by my husband on our 20 acres of wooded property in the rolling hills of Central Ohio. A floor-to-ceiling glass front provides you with a view of fields green in summertime and ripe with goldenrod in the fall, four outdoor deck spaces invite you to relax in the beauty of nature, and a second story loft suite with a soaking tub are ready to provide you with rest and refreshment.

Owl’s Nest

Come stay in our brand new loft adjacent to Kenyon College (just behind Ralston House). You’ll have 700 square feet of space with a private entrance. Accommodations include a king sized bed, twin bed, full bathroom, kitchenette, sitting area, and dining table. Perfect weekend spot for parents and a sibling or two of a Kenyon student. Guests should be comfortable with a flight of interior stairs. No other residents share the building with our guests.

The Cottage at River's Bend

Located on the scenic Kokosing River enjoy the best sounds and breathtaking sunsets this river has to offer. A short distance to Kenyon college, Honey Run waterfalls, hunting, fishing, Apple Valley Lake, Kokosing bike trail and Ohio Amish country. You won't run out of things to do. Then relax and unwind with a seasonal heated outdoor shower and peaceful patio to watch the sunsets and the abundant wildlife.

The Cottage on Wiggin is a 3 BR, 2 bath in Gambier

The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place. The cottage on Wiggin is one block from all restaurants, bars and a coffee shop. This location is close to everything and anything you would like to see at the Kenyon College campus. We offer a transportation service to and from the Columbus airport. $150.00 per trip for up to 4 people with luggage. Message me at booking to schedule.
