The Post Office - Luxury Wilderness Escape

The Post Office transports you to another time and place, our heritage-listed accomodation is the heart of the beautiful town of Waratah. Opposite the Waratah Waterfall, The Post Office offers views of Mount Pearce and the expansive Happy Valley, which stretches out into the Tarkine wilderness. Waratah is nestled in a wilderness-rich pocket of Tasmania's North West and is the perfect base from which to explore the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park and the ancient Tarkine wilderness.

The Top Paddock

Welcome to the top paddock! This is glamping with a side of real camping in the Tasmanian bush. Goats and sheep will stroll around and you have over 20 acres all to yourself to explore. We're located up a gravel road on the north west coast, you won't find any other tourists here. Soak in the wood fired tub, under the blackwood tree. Cosy up to the wood fire, roasting marshmallows in your star Gazer yurt. A comfy queen bed and a backyard of adventure, its a Tasmanian version of luxury camping.

It is home to Galloway cattle and long term resident Jonesy, the English Pointer, who loves visitors! Only 15 minutes from the Burnie airport and on the way to the west coast wilderness, this rustic country style facility is in the grounds of a grand old home. It is a real country experience hosted by a local farmer. Yolla has beautiful countryside, and a proper country tavern for a meal. country retreat is fitted with carbon monoxide and smoke detectors.
