Our AirBnB is a separate, self-contained wing of our beautiful new home in Totara, 3kms south of Thames Township and gateway to the Coromandel Peninsula. We are about an hour’s drive from Auckland International Airport and close to the many and varied attractions of the Coromandel and the Waikato Region. Easy access to the Hauraki Rail Trail. From our elevated position there are uninterrupted views over the township, Firth of Thames and the Kauaeranga Valley.

Enjoy river swimming and hiking right from the property or just relax on the deck and enjoy the beauty of the valley. 5 minute drive to the Hauraki Rail Trail and the award-winning Falls Retreat restaurant. 10 minutes drive into the heart of the Karangahake Gorge and Waihi and 15 minutes through to Paeroa or out to Waihi Beach.

Homewood Cottage

Homewood cottage is situated in a private garden behind the main homestead “Homewood”. Homewood was built in 1876 by Dr Thomas Fletcher and was the original farm house in the area. The cottage was built in the early 1900s when the property was owned by George Alley a well known philanthropist. Guests can enjoy the private lawn and garden around the cottage, and wander down the hedgerow to the pond overlooking the Tauranga harbour.

Whiritoa is a small village on the Coromandel Peninsular. The area is beautiful with bush walks, the sea (great for swimming or surfing), a lagoon which is great for the kids. Our Bach is spacious and can comfortably accommodate 10 people over 5 bedrooms. A great kitchen, two bathrooms, Deck and Lounge with TV, Internet and Chromecast - we have everything you need!

Spend time on the beach, surf, kayak or try one of the local walks, then drive 2 minutes to town to sample the local cuisine or you can BBQ in your own courtyard.

Our spacious, 3 bedroom holiday home has great indoor outdoor flow with a large wrap around deck fully fenced and large flat lawn. The home is in a perfect location with only short walk of approx. 100m to the beach in one direction and shops, cafe’s and restaurants in the other.
