The Riverbank is nestled in an RSPB nature reserve close to the South Downs National Park, and benefits from a wide range of bird and animal life. This unique community is home to around 55 houseboats of all shapes and sizes and is completely unique to the UK. Guests will have exclusive use of our traditional narrowboat, Rhubarb and Custard. This stunning hand-crafted cabin is the master piece of a highly talented Sussex craftsman. It is constructed using sustainable oak, chestnut and ash from the surrounding woods. It is full of gorgeous bespoke detailing, for example the entrance to the cabin is inspired by a sea cave in Cornwall. It's secret location is like another world, up on a bank above a winding stream in the dappled light of old oak trees. The air is full of bird song and deer run freely all around.

Cozy inside and with gorgeous views outside, if that sounds like a splendid mix, then set off for the high-weald area of outstanding natural beauty and a self-catering stay at Gabriel's Rest, a gorgeous little shepherd's hut set in a peaceful and tranquil corner of a Sussex meadow with its own little garden. This idyllic retreat is set at Pococksgate Farm. It's all very peaceful here, and a relaxing place to just chill out all by yourselves with no one else around you.
