I'm an architect, and originally designed the studio as a workspace at the rear of our home for my photographer husband, Ian. We've recently converted it to a self-contained dwelling, so we can share what we love about the city. The Lighthouse

With a comfy double bed and steep stairs, it’s private and quiet - brilliant on a sunny day, cosy in a storm. There's a fantastic cafe around the corner; shops are 10 minutes’ walk away. The main Island Bay bus stop is nearby with regular buses. It's a 9 minute drive to the airport and 15 minutes to downtown Wellington. Small dogs on request.

Centrally located being a 25-minute walk or less than 10-minute bus ride to the city and Hnry Stadium. Bus stop at the gate. Approximately a 10-minute car ride to the ferry terminals. Have an urban camping experience in our iconic Airstream caravan in historic inner-city Thorndon, the oldest suburb of Wellington. The Airstream has a double bed, and a dining area which converts to a single bed suitable for one adult or two small children. Located next to our office and with your own carpark, you are just a short stroll to the central city, tourist attractions, transport hubs, nature walks, restaurants, bars and cafes.
