The bedroom features a comfortable king size bed, complete with a memory foam mattress, and walks out to the front porch. Our favorite thing about our cottage is relaxing on the porch swing with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

A 10 x 32 tiny cabin conveniently located 1 mile off paved Hwy 585. Our working ranch has cattle, goats, horses. Beautiful scenery with frequent sightings of elk, deer, turkeys. Kara Creek Ranch - Log Cabin

Looking to get away from it all? This cozy log cabin sits alone on a rise overlooking fields of sunflowers, where the deer & antelope graze and Kara Creek runs lazily through the valley. Guests are welcome to hike, fish Kara Creek, or fish the 11 acre pond stocked with trout (many over 20 inches) and large mouth bass. This cabin sits about 4 miles from our ranch headquarters, where we also offer food, horseback riding and other activities from May-Oct. Please contact us for more information!

This tipi can comfortably sleep 6-7 adults. Each tipi has as two burner camp stove, 3 gallons of water, a pot, coffee fixing things, a propane lantern and a solar lantern. There is no electricity on the property. There is an outdoor solar shower available if desired. Sleeping places (pad, sheets, blankets and pillows) can be set up for a total fee of $30 payable on arrival. Please request this at the time of making a reservation if interested. A very clean portapotty is used by all!!

Enjoy your coffee with a view of the incredible Black Hills and the winding Spearfish Creek below. This guest unit overlooks the Spearfish city park campground and recreation paths. This guest suite is the lower level of our home and has no shared indoor spaces. Outside you’ll be greeted with beautiful views and a shared hot tub for an unmatched in town experience.

This is the original carriage house from 1892 that has been converted into living quarters with a small fenced in outdoor space. The cozy cottage is made up of two levels. On the floor level, is a small kitchen, bathroom, and sitting area with gas fire place (love seat pulls out to a single bed). On the second level, via a narrow steep hayloft staircase, is a king bed, tv, and private balcony. This quaint space is the perfect get away.
