Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

Bjarg is a summerhouse in Bjarnarfjordur, 25 km from Hólmavík. Excellent location for travelling to North/South Strandir or Westfjords. The house stands by the river that runs down the valley. Spectacular view over Steingrímsfjord and the island Grímsey. Lovely cottage close to Drangsnes. The cottage has two bedrooms, both have a double bed and a bunk bed over the bed. Six persons can stay in the cottage. Bathroom with a shower and washing machine. The kitchen is well equipped with stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and cutlery and tableware. The untouched nature and birdlife is amazing in this area.
