Because here you will have stunning private views of mountains during the day, and at night, you will have unpolluted views of the stars. Plus, motels are in cities. Here you will experience quiet. Get comfortable with mountain views and fresh, clean air at 3,200' altitude, close to Canaan Valley/Blackwater Falls State Parks. Also, Dolly Sods, Seneca Rocks and Spruce Knob (highest point of WV). Lots of hiking/biking trails. Unique shopping in Davis and Thomas with a variety of restaurants. Fast food? An adventurous, scenic drive goes to Parsons, with the only McDonald's and traffic light in the county. Relax on the back deck to view the horse pasture and the small private airport.

Enjoy being in Thomas yet feeling like you're in woods far away from it all. Walking distance to front street. Our version of The Company Houses where coal miners lived. Our little community includes a Company Store(where you can do your laundry). Enjoy strolling to the purple fiddle or shopping,coffee, art galleries, or hiking on Thomas trails. This is a basement apartment in the heart of Canaan Valley. Less than 10 min drive to everything: Timeberline ski resort, Canaan Valley ski resort, incredibly fun local XC ski area Whitegrass, art galleries, amazing food options, breweries, and even distilleries! There are two state parks to hike and explore within 10 mins, and a beautiful wildlife refuge only one mile away. Whatever outdoor recreation you enjoy, Tucker Co has the best places to explore. And high speed WiFi.

Peaceful Off Grid Glamp Dome Canaan Valley/Davis

The dome is one large, open-concept space designed for a simple, cozy stay. It features a woodstove (firewood provided), an outhouse, and a gas grill with a side burner. Drinking water from our well is provided. Please bring your own ice for the cooler. Sheets, blankets, and pillows are included for your comfort. Guests park at Laurel River Club BnB and enjoy a short walk to the dome. Pets are welcome as long as they remain on a leash and are not left unattended in the dome.

Historic suite for 2 by river. Porch & Kitchenette

Stay in the masterfully crafted Lemuel Chenoweth homestead along the rippling Tygart river. Built in 1857, this 2nd floor suite offers antiques furnishings, a private entrance, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, and mud room. It has a queen bed, dresser, large porch with views of the river, a clawfoot tub with shower, sink, toilet, and a well stocked farmhouse kitchenette with a double induction cook top, sink , fridge and more. We do not offer a TV. Near Elkins.

Just outside the southern tip of Canaan Valley State Park, our ca 1900 home is close to tons of outdoor activities! There's a well equipped chef's kitchen. Enjoy TV, break out the board games, or spin a record. Ours is a comfortable destination to travel with family or pets. Welcome!
