Our home provides you a comfortable stay in a historic quiet neighborhood in downtown Juneau. We are close walking distance to Juneau’s core with cafes, restaurants and shopping. You might want to stroll the waterfront boardwalk along Gastineau Channel and see a big breaching whale fountain and plaza, cultural and art museums along the way. Cope Park is practically in our back yard, a jump off point leading to excellent hiking trails. Whoever you are, whatever your journey, we welcome you!

River House: On Mendenhall River/Glacier(4 min dr)

We love our place on the Mendenhall River! Eagles, bears, deer, porcupine, and otters are common sights in the backyard while the soft rush of the glacier-fed stream provides a soothing background. We are located in the upper Mendenhall Valley, just a 5 minute drive from the Mendenhall Glacier & 3 minute walk to the Brotherhood Bridge trail which takes you into deep old forest almost immediately. The river is ever changing and always beautiful & peaceful. We are available, but don’t intrude.

Close enough to downtown without being in the middle of all the hubbub, we know you will enjoy staying in our humble home. Built in the 1950’s this first layer of our house cake still has some of the funky fun that comes with it, but if you can handle scheduling shower time this house has all the trimmings, private parking, home gym, small arcade, working propane fireplace, gorgeous artwork and a fully stocked kitchen just waiting to help deliver a fresh Alaskan caught meal.

A modest space, attached to larger house. One bedroom with queen bed in a loft. A second loft w/ queen mattress & plenty more sleeping space is accessible by ladder above small bathroom with shower. Both lofts have limited standing room (5-6 ft). There is a kitchen with a 2 person table, propane oven/stove, on demand hot water. There is a separate shared room with washer dryer, sauna, and clawfoot bath tub. The backyard is on the Mendenhall River, located in the wetlands.

Your private/separate mother-in-law apartment attached to this newly remodeled Tudor-style house has a private bathroom, bedroom, and open room, which features a kitchen, dining, and sitting area! This space is priced for up to two people. I hope you like this accessory apartment that was built in the early '90s for Great Grandma McBride. It has a private exterior entrance, porch, and parking spot. You can also access the main house through an interior door.
