Hidden inside native bush is our glamping hut named 'the syrah shack', which is nestled behind our syrah vines. The location is 10 minutes out of Russell township, in the Bay of Islands. You will have a vineyard, cellar door and eatery 1km from the hut. Escape your worries and get off the grid in our eco retreat. The Yurt Wai Rua

The Yurt at Wai Rua, west of Whangarei, is approximately 20 minutes drive from Kamo via Pipiwai Road. It is set in a beautiful tranquil farmland area beside a small lake, which is surrounded by native trees. Watch the native birds, ducks and pukekos whilst sitting on the deck. It has amazing rural views, including massive volcanic rocks. The yurt has a separate kitchen, with a small fridge and gas oven and 2hob burners. The bathroom has a hot water shower and composting toilet.

Sunrise Paradise

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway, soak up all day sun on the East or west facing decks, unobstructed ocean views both sides of the house, the sunrises and sunsets are incredible! The Pohutukawa Cabin overlooks the treasured Karikari Bay. You will have your own quiet self contained garden cabin in a private setting with your own private walk around outside beach themed bathroom and rain forest shower with a view. There is free use of the WiFi, BBQ (with gas) Kayaks, SUP Paddle boards, and Boogie boards. Self help Continental breakfast provided. ‘Oranga’ is situated high in the hills above Kohukohu in stunning native bush. Three separate self-contained accommodations are all unique and styled with guests' comfort and convenience in mind (view on my profile page). Ideal for a weekend escape to the country or as the midway point to visit Cape Reinga and magnificent Tane Mahuta. We are 6kms from Kohukohu Village (gravel road) and 11kms from the Hokianga Ferry.

Wharau Lodge

Wharau Lodge is a privately owned 2 bedroom home which is available to be used as an idyllic holiday retreat offering panoramic views over the Bay of Islands. If we do not have people staying before or after you we offer flexible check in and check out. We charge a $85 cleaning fee. Also there is an optional $55 charge if you would like us to have the Hot Tub ready to use.
