Kangaroo Cottage is an adults only retreat, surrounded by majestic Jarrah trees and wildlife. Guests have a wonderful opportunity to escape the city & immerse themselves in the serenity of the hills. Please be aware that the cottage is located on our family hobby farm & the sounds of our animals are a part of the Kangaroo Cottage experience. Our property is not suitable for pets or children. With no WI-FI this retreat offers a genuine chance to slow down, switch off, and reconnect with nature. The retreat is located 50 minutes from Perth Airport. We live in the adjoining house on the property, so help is nearby if needed, while your accommodation remains private and self-contained. There is still 5G reception available at the suite.

Umatah is part of the original State Brick Works that was closed down in the 1940’s after their excavations hit an underground spring. The property runs on organic principles and has a mango orchard, apiary, vegetable wicking beds plus various other fruit and nut trees. There is a large waterhole, landscaped gardens and endless native bushland.
