The room provides a tranquill escape from frantic life:- there’s Wi-Fi but no television , just a radio. Kitchen facilities are basic but functional. We provide the basis for a continent breakfast. The cottage is fully refurbished, it has three bedrooms, one bathroom, living room and modern kitchen. This house is suitable for up to to six people. We cannot facilitate for more than six people at any given time. The house is strictly NO parties and NO pets. This house is an ideal place for anyone who is interested in a quiet getaway, you can go for a walk or go cycling around the area. If you have any trouble finding the cottage we will send the Eircode of the house before your arrival.

It is set on 12 acres with a river running through it and a tumbling waterfall right by the cottage. Only 15 minutes drive to Donegal town, which has some really nice restaurants and bars. There is a castle to explore in the town and a wonderful craft village with a very good cafe. Ten minutes drive to Harveys Point and twelve minutes from Lough Eske castle, both reputable 5 * hotels.

Delightful, listed, 250 year old thatch cottage named after the famous explorer Eduardo-Alfred Martel is famous for charting Marble Arch cave system. Local Folklore claims that Martel resided within this beautiful cottage in 1895 during his Caving adventures. Suitable for walkers, climbers & fishermen.
