Our home is in the hamlet where Arthur Ransome, author of 'Swallows & Amazons' spent his childhood holidays. Today it still retains that old-world charm. We are a stone's throw from the lake, with woodlands & waterfalls on our doorstep. You can sit by a cosy fire or enjoy a walk/picnic by the lake on light evenings. Set on the Dales Way, in the heart of the Lake District National Park lies Cragg House Farm. This working family farm now doubles up as a luxurious 2 room B&B. We're Karen and Phil, together with our 30 year old son we have lived in our beautiful 5 bedroom Victorian home for 27 years. It was built in 1895 and retains most of its original stunning features! We are conveniently situated 15 min drive from Manchester city centre. The Metrolink is 5 minutes walk away which will take you north, south, east & west of Manchester...including the Manchester Arena and the airport. The M60 - J17 is half a mile away.
