Nestled amongst gum trees overlooking a large dam, it is surrounded by native wildlife and grazing stock. A unique feature of this location is a walking track through our working farm to The Olive View Restaurant, with great food and amazing coffee. In keeping with minimum impact on the environment, it contains a composting toilet.

Grevillea Cottage

Located 30 mins from Canberra. Private self-contained 2-bedroom cottage. Close to wineries and attractions of the Yass Valley region. A perfect weekend getaway, short stay and a great location to stay for weddings at Shaw Estate. Built in 1895, this four room cottage has been lovingly renovated as a private guest wing of a larger property. This cosy cottage is close to everything, making it easy to plan your trip, wander the shops, galleries, the river trails and sites of Yass Valley or Canberra. If you love live music, local wine, whisky or gin, this is a great valley to explore. For fishing, bring your gear or boat for the river, the dam or a nearby lake. Mystic Ridge Estate offers ‘StarGazer'. Be amazed by the breathtaking panoramic lake views as the property is situated on the west ridge overlooking Lake George. The lake bed is visible during the dry years and the lake will slowly reappear during wet years. The lake is currently the fullest it’s been in many years. You are encouraged to view it before it dries up again! We have three accommodation choices on the property so please check out the other two listings!

The Stables @ Longsight

The original stables at historic Longsight have been lovingly restored and converted to luxury boutique accommodation. Many of the original features have been preserved such as the exposed wood rafters, weatherboards, iron roof and facade. Even the original saddle racks remain in the bathroom and old framing timber has been repurposed into a beautiful kitchen island. Perfect for couples or families looking for a relaxing country getaway.

Our Very Comfortable Granny Flat is at the back of our main limestone fronted house. It is very private, has a enclosed courtyard and is walking distance to restaurants and cafes in Yass town. We are really just over the road from the Yass River and there are plenty of picturesque walking paths along the river. There are also other facilities close by including a dog park, swimming pool children's playground.
