The place is nestled into one of the last Virgin stands of 100' hemlocks left in the state, part of the Van Vliet Hemlock States Natural Area. The area is great for hiking, biking and any outdoor activity you can think of.

The Honeymoon Cabin at Pine Noel Resort is a cozy cabin set in a serene location with the conveniences of having downtown Mercer just a short walk away. The resort has two docks, row boat, sandy beach, and a swim raft for your enjoyment on the beautiful Grand Portage Lake. You can easily visit small local towns with bars, restaurants and shopping.
