Hepscott is a quiet pretty village two miles south of Morpeth. There is easy access from both the A1 and the A19. Morpeth is an attractive busy market town with ample shopping, dining and drinking establishments. Nearby there are beautiful beaches and historic castles. Northumberland is an ideal destination for walkers and cyclists. Here at Hazel Cottage we can offer secure storage for bicycles and free parking. Morpeth railway station is close by with regular trains from London and the north.

Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Enjoy the natural warmth of the water, heated and ready for your arrival. This does need to be booked in advance, we ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice. There is an additional charge of £40.00. If your stay is longer than one night we are able to drain, refill and reheat at £15.00 per night. Fuel for the woodburner is supplied.

Very clean beaches of Cresswell and Druridge bay are easily accessible by car and bicycle.
