The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

It's small, neat and tidy. It is perfect as a crash pad for people exploring Reykjavik for a couple of days. This house truly has it all, from a beautiful ocean view, horses in the backyard, and a phenomenal view over Reykjavik. Esjuberg plays a big part in a very interesting Icelandic Viking story called the Kjalnesinga Saga. In this story, a woman named Esja lived here along with her foster son Búi, who became a very mighty man.
