Frio Riverside Retreat

Hidden down in a canyon on the Frio River, this cabin offers a home base for exploring the Texas Hill country. Take a short walk to your own private river access. Walk up the road for several river road crossing and more crystal clear water to explore. Cook at home in the well equipped kitchen or drive 15 minutes to Leakey to dine at many of the local restaurants. Slow down and enjoy the sunset sets, moon rises and stars on the front porch in a comfortable rocker while watching the hummingbirds!

Looking to leave the hustle and bustle of the city? Our Glamper is a simple place to camp for a couples get-away, small family get-away, or the weekend hunting trip....a place to enjoy Hill country sunsets , gaze at the wide open starry skies, and breathe in good ole’ country air. We are located in Rio Frio, TX just up the road from the beautiful Frio River. There's a downstairs patio with a BBQ pit, seating, and a perfect view to grill on a beautiful sunny day. The screened in back porch pairs perfect with your morning coffee. This 2 bdrm, 1 bath house is perfect for your mini vacay!

Amadeo at the Frio Private getaway with pool & spa

"Amadeo" is a secluded 9 acre get away on Saddle Mountain all to yourself, not shared. 2 cabins with 2 full baths & glorified outhouse/shower by salt water pool & spa. Outdoor lounging, covered dining areas, game area, star gazing by the fire pit. We are located 1 mile from river crossing, 5 mins from town, 10 mins from Garner. Beautiful sunsets and view of the hills, also hiking. Each cabin has queen bed, full loft, full futon couch, covered porches. We also love our guests’ fur babies!

Whether planning a peaceful escape from the city or a riding vacation along the Twisted Sisters Hwy, the Texas Wheelhouse is a perfect getaway for your group. The 2-bedroom/2-bath cabin, with a 1-bedroom bunk house. The property is at the top of a ridge overlooking the breathtaking Texas Hill Country. Located along Hwy 336, one of the most scenic rides in Texas, the Texas Wheelhouse is a short drive to Garner State Park, Lost Pines Park, and several places to go tubing on the Frio River.

Join us at our river front get away. After seeing the view what else do you need to know? Enjoy wildlife views from the porch, dipping or paddling in the Nueces River right out your back door. Room for everyone with separate suite right across the patio. Room for introverts to take a break, and porch and deck for together time. We love the Nueces River and we would like to share it with you. This is our home. Rental includes 4 kayaks and paddles with more available for rent.

You are within 18 miles of the Concan area. Your stay here at our bunkhouse will be safe, quiet, and peaceful.
