Authentic 19th Cent. gamekeeper's cottage set in some of the most beautiful countryside in England - many original features, log fires, squishy sofas, & large well-maintained private garden. The ideal spot for a romantic weekend or a countryside adventure with family or friends. Woodland walks, riding, cycling & fishing available. Fast wi-fi. Great pubs/food nearby. Dogs welcome. Comfortable lounge with TV, DVD and basicWiFi opening on to kitchen/diner which is well equipped for a self catering break including an oven with hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and table with seating. There is an additional cloakroom downstairs.Off road parking to side of property and seating area to the front looking over the tranquil valley.

Cabin on the Lake

Private cabin sitting on an island over its own lake the ideal place to stay amongst nature and unwind in 10 acres. Furniture built from locally sourced trees for a beautifully crafted, rustic finish. Swing in a hammock or egg chair and indulge in a bit of star gazing. Watch the surrounding wildlife by the log burner or gather by the fire pit. Head ito Exmoor or Dartmoor & enjoy the many walks/bike rides; surf or explore the beaches. Help feed the animals and relax, recharge & re-connect!

The Tarka Suite

We live in a quiet location situated on the outskirts of Barnstaple, tucked away in a quiet residential area. Nearest amenities are approx 15 min walk. “The Tarka suite”is made up of 3 seperate rooms plus a covered garden room with electric points. There is a king sized bed, 2 seater sofa, a small dining area and small well equipped kitchen area which includes a std fridge, a ninja twin drawer acti fry and single hob. Crockery, pans and cutlery are provided. Use of hot tub at extra cost.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Lovely period features carefully restored. Rural quiet equestrian countryside with around 45 minute drive to some lovely beaches. A thatched Semi detached part of a Devon Longhouse around 400 years old. This little quaint cottage/annex has lots of period features. The cottage is situated in a quiet area with around 45 minute drive to the sea and some beautiful North Devon beaches. A quiet simple countryside retreat. NB: No takeaways available

The Hide - cosy rural cottage

The Hide is a tranquil getaway, tucked into the corner of Lemons Farm, our 15th Century thatched farmhouse. Originally a piggery, the cob and stone building has been converted into a little cottage with a living area, kitchenette, bathroom and mezzanine sleeping area. Fall asleep under the stars and wake to the sound of birdsong. Lemons Farm is located in Atherington, a lovely village with a church, tennis court and park. Some great pubs are nearby as are the gorgeous North Devon beaches.

Little Buckland Cottage

Nestled in the Devon countryside, very rural, with narrow lanes. 15 minutes from the delights of RHS Rosemoor and within easy reach of beaches, Dartmoor and a little further along is Exmoor. Fishing on the river Torridge is close by and the Tarka Trail for keen cyclists is within an easy bike ride. The cottage (adjacent to our house) overlooks our fields and woodland. Keen amateur mycologists will be in heaven at this time of year. Our woodland is teeming with fungi! Come and explore!!

Swallow View, Umberleigh, North Devon

Beautiful guest house just outside Umberleigh in North Devon, in the heart of the Taw Valley. Our guest house is situated atop a hill with panoramic views of the surrounding scenery and historic Tarka Trail. Fully self-contained building, patio and parking area. Fully fitted kitchen and living room, with a separate bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Underfloor heating coupled with a log burning fireplace for chilly days. Only a short drive to some stunning beaches and marvelous countryside.

Valle Vue a little peace of heaven, with a hot tub

Valle Vue is a quite rural warm cosy place, on the end of the bungalow with is own private entrance, private off road parking right outside, A King sized bed with adjoining en-suite, & a separate WC. Complementary tea, coffee, cereal, milk & fruit juice. A crib or put-me-up available on request, great pubs near by, A well supplied shop in the local village, Our main town is Barnstaple and is less than 30 mins away. once you've been you'll want to come back! just read the reviews.

The Barn, West Ford Farm

The Barn is part of an historic farmstead. It was built from cob and stone in the 18th century and sits in a peaceful valley, a lovely place to get away from it all and enjoy the glorious Devon country side. It is on the edge of Dartmoor and next to the Two Moors Way. The pretty village of Drewsteignton is a couple of miles away with it's pub The Drewe Arms. The National Trust's Castle Drogo is half a mile beyond that. The Drogo Estate has beautiful walks along the River Teign

Forest Park lodge with balcony

Nestled in a quiet woodland between the two national parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor and close to the award winning beaches of North Devon. A lovely 2-bedroom lodge, which can sleep 6, finished to a high standard with a cosy relaxing vibe. You can settle in and enjoy the amazing views from the upstairs living room and balcony.
