This cottage has 2 bedrooms and a bath. A large kitchen open to great room. Total space is 800 sq.feet. (Not including huge porches) This home is in rural setting. There are other houses around that can be seen . The road can be busy at certain times of day. The house used to be a one room school house in early 1900's.

Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. Because I am such a cold natured person, I installed heated floors and a heated towel bar in addition to the mini-split and electric fireplace! The cabin is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, pot belly pig, and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, day bed swing or hot tub looking out over the landscape and do nothing.

Falling Pines Historic Cabin

The original log cabin was built in 1936 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). These cabins were built after the Blue Ridge Parkway was laid in 1935, which is just down the street. With love and attention our cabin's renovations were complete in 2017. We kept the original log walls to add a rustic feel to the contemporary, crisp clean decor. The cottage overlooks the babbling waters of Back Creek but is just a 5 minute drive to the grocery store, private yet convenient.

During your stay at One City Plaza, you can enjoy the convenience of downtown living in this quiet, large 900 sq. ft. apartment. This place has original hardwood floors, exposed 11-foot ceilings, and large windows spanning across the entire length of a wall offering picturesque views of the city skyline against a background of Appalachian Mountains. This space offers a king size bed, pool table, and a full kitchen to accommodate any length of stay.

Modern Cabin w/ Hot Tub - Romantic Retreat

The Cabin is a luxurious rural escape, with a 3-person hot tub. Located on a permaculture homestead and native plant sanctuary, the space overlooks the garden and is surrounded by forest. Natural/local materials were used throughout (built in 2023). For larger groups, check out the guest house next door (Airbnb: Guest House on Homestead near Floyd/Blacksburg). ~10 miles to Floyd, ~20 miles to Blacksburg, ~35 miles to Roanoke.
