The Cottage in East Poultney

The Cottage is located in historic East Poultney next to the old Poultney schoolhouse (now historical society). Slate Valley hiking/bike trails surround the area. About 1 mile to the town of Poultney, which has stores, shops, restaurants and a Pub. The sidewalk starts in front of the cottage which leads directly to town. Great for a walk, jog or bike ride. Pico, Killington and Bromley Mountains all less than an hour drive. 3 miles away from Lake St Catherine and under 10 miles to Lake Bomoseen.

The East Cabin is quietly tucked between the beautiful Green Mountains of VT and the gorgeous Adirondacks of NY. Grill steaks on BBQ and eat S’mores by the campfire at night. For the winter season, there are many major ski resorts close by. Our home is located in MT. Tabor, Vermont, just off of Route 7, in a country setting with beautiful Mountain views of the Green Mountain National Forest, Dorset and Danby Mountains. The house is an old barn converted into a beautiful spacious home, on 4 acres. Snowmobiling from our place, plus 4 major ski areas less than 30 miles away. Hiking, fishing, swimming, golfing, and the Equestrian horse show are all nearby. as well as shopping in nearby Manchester and Rutland Vermont.
