In this history based tour we will talk about recent and far history of Zagreb and Croatia including WWII, war in exYugoslavia, comunist and nazi regime etc. As master's degree historian I will try to answer all of your questions and give you croatian perspective of those interesting times in our hisotry. Meet me at Nikole Zrinjskog square in front of the meteorological pillar. At first we will explore Downtown-park Zrinjevac, the most beautiful park of Zagreb's green horseshoe, and Jelačić square, main square which is dedicated to one of the most important figure in croatian history. Our tour will continue to Zagreb's cathedral from 11th century and to Dolac-the oldest open farmer's market in the city. Just few minutes later we will reach to Tkalčićeva street, nowadays street of coffee shops, bars and pubs but also a street which hides medieval history of the city. I will take you to the shortest funicular in the world which will bring you to the Upper town of Zagreb. Tour will proceed to St.Mark's square-center of political life in Croatia, Parliament, Goverment and constitutional Court are located there, but also beautiful church of St. Mark from 13th century. A short stroll through Stone Gate, only remained gates of medieval Zagreb, will bring us back to the Main square where the tour will finish.

Last Minute- From Zagreb with Love
During this walking tour guests will have the chance to meet the city of Zagreb, not only learning its history and facts but also seeing and feeling the city as it is behind the scenes. We will try to find as many mysterious symbols in the city as possible, we will see the "Grounded solar system"- a well-known street art installation representing our solar system, with the planets placed all across the city, but we will also get to know something about Zagreb's history and tradition as well. We will walk past some of Croatia's most famous palaces, churches and other important historical and modern buildings. We will stop to take some great photos at a few panoramic views so you can bring this unforgettable experience home with you and always remember Zagreb. Guests are recommended to wear comfortable shoes, but the walk is easy and it takes about 2,5 hours. Let's meet at King Tomislav square, and from there we will take a walk along the green horseshoe parks, passing through Zagreb main square, visiting Kaptol and Gradec, connected by one of the most beautiful farmers markets in Europe, Dolac. While strolling through the upper town we'll pass by most famous Zagreb churches as well as Zagreb town promenade that follows the old wals of once fortified town. We'll descend from the upper town with the oldest and shortest european funicular, and follow the path to Flower Square, passing through the Octogone- a 19th century building complex. Play with fire and make glass art
The unique experience lasts 2 hours . I will show and explain the basic flameworking technique. After an introduction about glass and safety, you will get a chance to work on a torch. Under my supervision, you will get the opportunity to make a glass blown vase and/or pendant. All your glass art will be annealed in a kiln for you. Pieces will be available for pick up or shipping one week after the class has finished. International shipping is included.
