The apartment is located on the 1st floor, accessible by stairs (no wheelchair access). Kitchen is well equipped with a stove, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, mixer and juicer. Guest are free to use the big garden by the house. The apartment is within walking distance from a swimming pool (Vesturbæjarlaug), coffee shop (Kaffihús Vesturbæjar), and the famous bakery, Brauð&co. It’s also close to a beautiful walking path (Ægissíða) along the sea. The flight bus stops close by. Buses nr. 11 and 15 stop right outside. Free parking right out side the building. Kirkjuland is a small farm just 10km north of Reykjavik, on Kjalarnes. Located under the beautiful mountain Esja. Peaceful and cozy.. We can host 2 persons at our facility. Fantastic view over the Reykjavik area. We are close to many beautiful places you would want to visit; like Thingvellir national park, Glymur the highest waterfall in Iceland, Húsafell , Krauma, Giljaböð natural bath places, etc. All photos of the northern lights taken in our garden! Welcome to the newly renovated farmhouse in Esjuberg, where you sleep by the roots of the mountain. This house truly has it all, from a beautiful ocean view, horses in the backyard, and a phenomenal view over Reykjavik. Esjuberg plays a big part in a very interesting Icelandic Viking story called the Kjalnesinga Saga. In this story, a woman named Esja lived here along with her foster son Búi, who became a very mighty man.
